The Give and Take of Life

So, for Christmas, my sister got $2,000 as a present.  One of her friends in college works two jobs in addition to full time schooling, because of his financial limitations, and so naturally her first instinct was to give him the money to pay his tuition costs for the semester. That way, he could quit one of his jobs, and actually have a life.

But people are funny. They don’t always want their lives to be awesomer.  So, today we chatted with this friend person, and he was very annoyed at the suggestion that he might enjoy working less. “You don’t think I would be able to thrive under an adult workload,” he complained via text.

After he insisted and insisted, me and my sister decided to let sleeping dogs lie, so to speak.
